ALBERTO RIZZO

I’m Alberto Rizzo, for everyone “Riz”, class of 1987.

I was born in Alba and spent my childhood in my grandfather Duilio Fedele’s vineyard, a producer of Moscato grapes for generations. My path is set: first a diploma at the School of Oenology, then a degree in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Agriculture of Turin. At 25 I become an oenologist. My dream.

After years of experience in wineries in the Barolo area, I take over from my grandfather, renovate the barn next to the vineyard turning it into a cellar, and in 2021 I vinify my first vintage. And what a vintage!

The classic soul. A tribute to our land, a wine that speaks the language of tradition and togetherness. It’s Dolcetto as it should be: authentic, sincere and deeply tied to the earth.

But above all because on these hills - now a UNESCO Heritage Site - I grew up, and now I want to help them grow with me.
